Why I called my business Grace Body Therapies

No my name is not Grace....

After 3 weeks of brain storming to find the PERFECT WORD to prefix Body Therapies that expressed all I wanted to say - the word 'Grace' jumped off the page of my reading. I quickly looked up its meaning on Dictionary and Thesaurus as I had with every other word that had come to mind. As I read the meaning a profound quietness came over me. This was it !

GRACE - elegance or beauty of form, manner, motion or action

We watched her skate with effortless grace across the ice.

poise, finesse, gracefulness, dexterity, fluidity of movement, fluency, flow, suppleness, smoothness, ease, effortlessness, precision, agility, nimbleness, light-footedness.

That is exactly what I want for my clients. Its what the Alexander Technique can do for us ! It's the vision I have for the way we can be if we can learn to cooperate with our design - Moving with more ease efficiency and poise.

The clincher of the deal was the glorious other meanings of this superb word.

-a charming or attractive trait or characteristic

-favour, goodwill, generosity, kindness (especially that is freely given by God to mankind)

-to adorn, embellish, enhance; beautify, enrich, bejewel

GRACE - its a beautiful word with many rich meanings. ( I would like my name to be Grace! )
