I have always believed healing of both body and mind is possible.
It has been a lifetime of preparing to help others - learning, applying and proving the work in my own life. My personal journey has been to understand, find answers to, and overcome the debilitating pain and thought patterns that have plagued me. I have finally mastered tools to gain choice over my reactions and responses to life with all its stimuli. I now have more presence, ease of coordination, increasing clarity of thought and am more comfortable with myself. My personal battles give me empathy insight and compassion for others who struggle in similar ways.
I trained in Remedial Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Ortho-Bionomy and other therapies, operating a business since 2005, which includes body work and movement classes. I became convinced of the need to work with the causes of pain not just the symptoms and began Alexander Technique training to find answers. In 2019 I became accredited as a Teacher of the Alexander Technique.
The Alexander Technique is an insightful tool to live life with yourself well. It is transforms and liberates on many levels. The process enables you to interrupt and change deeply entrenched patterns of thought and coordination. It highlights that, the way we ‘use’ our bodies in activity in every day life can create pain and discomfort and it offers a process to‘learn our way out of pain ’.
I am excited to use this unique and effective technique to assist people find greater ease with themselves and transform their coordination and postural patterns.
Though not exclusive, my special interest is women- coaching, mentoring and motivating them towards optimal physical and mental health.
