H E A D A N D W H O L E B O D Y .........
As you read these words could you make it a cue to become aware of your physical self, where you are, what you are doing etc ?
Can you spatially map your whole self ? The undersides of your feet, the top of your feet, the backs and fronts of your legs, the R and L sides of your pelvis, your whole back, the front of your torso, etc etc...
And Where parts are in relation to one another ? ie: the top of your head in relation to your sitz bones.
The brain has a spatial map of your body and through practice we can strengthen this "map". Practice in quiet times like in bed, sitting comfortably in the sun, the car, while walking, and then while doing more complicated activities this 'spatial map' is more accessible
H E A D A N D W H O L E B O D Y is a great cue to get into the work. Use the cue during any activity to mindfully include all parts of the body. As a result all the parts of the body become more involved in sharing the load of the activity.
Think especially of including your H E A D. Go "right up the lift" in your minds eye to the top of your head.
Just becoming aware of your head can transform coordination. While you are reading this.. quickly map the dimensions of your head. R and L ear, forehead and back of your head and in particular the top of your head.
Have fun exploring.
